The Tage Frid Stool. Same story, except I learned how to build this from his textbook. Three-volume Tage Frid Teaches Woodworking, which has been in continuous publication since 1979. The three-legged stool was one of Frid’s most successful designs and used as an example in the volume dedicated to furniture making. It was based on sitting on top of a fence, watching a horse show, and the comfort of that position.
